Mindy Cone's "Gourmet French Macarons" Book signing

Yesterday I had the pleasure of meeting the talented and sweet Mindy Cone from Creative Juice.  Who also happens to be the author of the beautiful new cookbook "Gourmet French Macarons".  I have never met Mindy in person so when I found out she was going to be in Maryland for her book signing I jumped at the chance to buy the book, get it signed and meet her face to face.  

Mindy was so sweet and super busy signing books the whole time we were there. A lot of fellow bloggers showed up to show their support and do exactly what I was doing.  Meet the lady behind the blog and pick up a copy of her beautiful cookbook.  Did I mention Mindy also took all the photos in her cookbook, which are stunning. 

I met up with my friend Keisha Sibert from Cupcake Wishes and Birthday Dreams.  We both had our kids along so it was kind of crazy with all of our little ones running around Barnes and Noble but hopefully Mindy can forgive us for the added chaos.  

I couldn't show up empty handed.  I thought about bringing Mindy some macarons from my own kitchen, but I've tried many times and my attempts have never come close to Mindy's caliber of macaron.  I figured I'd stick with what I know and made her a sweet little macaron illustration.  Which I'm happy to pass on as a free print to all the macaron lovers out there.
